Jason Campbell is a US Patent Attorney and IP strategist with over 15 years of law firm and corporate experience. After working in a US patent law firm on international patent filings, prosecution and legal opinions, Jason became the first foreign in-house legal counsel to be hired by a $12B diversified chemical company headquartered in Japan. Responsible for global IP strategy, he provided the full spectrum of IP legal support while managing and harmonizing the IP activities and best practices of multiple subsidiaries in the U.S. and Europe.
Currently, Jason continues to provide holistic IP legal support for his global clients, acting as a fractional counsel on behalf of a large chemical company in the US, while steadily growing his practice with the addition of numerous technology start-ups and medium-sized businesses.
Fluent in Japanese, Jason also has extensive experience in negotiating international agreements, and continues to support US-Japan negotiations of technology and engineering agreements, patent licenses, joint development agreements and others.
Jason has drafted patents and supported the IP strategy for a wide variety of technologies including: chemical polymers and formulations; polyolefin foams; water soluble films; extruded films; medical devices; automotive components; biotech assays; microbial fermentation; cosmetic compositions; fuel cells; aerospace systems and components; and 3D printing.
